JAMMU, Apr 9: Humanity Public School (HPS), Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, celebrated its 44th foundation day today.
The ceremony began with floral tributes to the school’s founder, Late Captain Gandharab Singh Charak, by Principal Gaurav Charak, Vice-Principal Anku Charak, and other key staff members. A special assembly organized by the students and faculty featured speeches, poems and performances. Manyata, a student of class 12th, delivered a heartfelt speech, while Aradhaya Sharma from class 7th recited a touching poem. Additionally, teacher Aradhana Bhagat delivered an engaging speech about the significance of the occasion.
The event also included a beautiful song performance by students of classes 5th, 8th and 9th under the guidance of music teachers Rajan Kumar and Kumar Abhilash. Principal Gaurav Charak praised the contributions of the staff and students to the school’s growth, emphasizing the importance of honouring the past while shaping a bright future. On this special day, the National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced, with around 90 students from classes 5th to 9th registering for the program, aimed at promoting community service and social responsibility.
