JAMMU, Apr 3: Ameya Chourey, a Grade XI student of Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu, has made the school and Jammu and Kashmir proud by securing a top-10 position in the Under-18 division at the National Level 21st Mountain Biking Championship 2024.
The championship, held at Panchkula from March 28 to 31, saw participation from over 100 cyclists across the country. Representing the Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory under the J&K Sports Council, Ameya’s remarkable performance has added to his growing reputation in the sport.
Earlier, Ameya had clinched the 2nd position and a silver medal in the U-18 category at the Jammu District Cycling Competition on September 25, 2024. Over the past four years, he has consistently excelled at both district and state levels, earning recognition for his skills and perseverance. His dedication to cycling has now earned him the honour of representing Jammu and Kashmir at national competitions.
