JAMMU, Feb 11: The 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships concluded today with a remarkable display of skill and determination. Minister for Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Satish Sharma, was the chief guest, accompanied by Rajinder Singh Tara, DG Youth Services and Sports J&K. The event, held over two days, saw 500 athletes from across Jammu and Kashmir competing at a high level.
Sharma praised the medalists and assured full support for the growth of Taekwondo in the region. The championship featured cutting-edge sensor scoring technology (PSS) to ensure fair competition. District Jammu emerged as the overall champion, with district Budgam securing second place and district Doda finishing third.
Special guests included Dr. S.M. Bali, Ramesh Chander Sharma, Subhash Shashtri, and others. The organizing committee, led by Advocate Neelofar Masood and Ashok Kumar, expressed their gratitude to all participants, officials, and supporters who contributed to the success of the event.
