JAMMU, Dec 12: Day 9 of the Big Cricket League 2024 delivered two thrilling semi-finals, setting the stage for an exciting grand finale tomorrow between Swachhta Strikers and Mulan CC.
In the first semi-final, Swachhta Strikers won the toss and opted to bat first, posting an impressive total of 210 runs. Sahil Balwal led the charge with a brilliant 75, while Amir Ashraf supported with a quick 58. Despite a heroic 110-run effort from Chief Secretary XI’s Danish Fayaz, the Strikers held their nerve and clinched victory by 11 runs. Sahil Balwal was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding batting display.
The second semi-final saw Mulan CC bowl first after winning the toss, restricting Infra Business to a modest 146 runs. Kulvinder Singh’s 3-wicket haul, along with strong performances from Ankush Bandral (2 wickets) and Anchal (2 wickets), dismantled Infra Business’s batting lineup. In reply, Mulan CC chased down the target in just 15 overs, with Ankush Bandral playing a stellar knock of 60 off 30 balls. His all-round performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
