JAMMU, Aug 3: The Jammu & Kashmir Tug-Of-War Association, led by its President Hardeep Singh Anand, has selected a team for the 37th Junior Mix 4+4 U-19 National Tug-Of-War Championship. The event will be held from August 5 to 9, 2024, at Agra Cantt, Uttar Pradesh.
The team, competing in the under-19 mixed 4+4 category with a weight limit of 540 kg, includes Palvi Choudhary, Tanvi Salotra, Isha Chambyal, Damini Kaith, Saneha Manhas, Sumir Kumar, Amitoj Singh, Mohit Bhagat, Himanshu Korilya and Mantej Singh.
The selection was conducted by Hardeep Singh Anand, Vice President Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary Jodh Singh Isher, Treasurer Jasbir Singh Sudan, and international player Gourav Kumar Dubey. Jaswinder Singh and Kiran Kumari will accompany the team as coach and manager respectively. Kits were distributed to the players at the selection event. This championship provides a platform for young athletes from J&K to showcase their skills and compete at a national level, aiming for victory and recognition.
