JAMMU, Feb 8: J&K team of Goju-Ryu Karate Association bagged 11 medals in the International Goju-Ryu Karate Championship organised by International Goju-Ryu Karate Organisation at Sujanpur, Pathankote.
In the championship, more than 250 students of different countries participated, whereas 15 students of J&K represented team India.
The gold medals were bagged by Harshit Kohli of GD Goenka School, Rudrakshi Pandita of KC Public School and Mahim Nanda of The First Step School.
The students, who bagged silver medals were Sarthak Gupta of Heritage School, Atin Wazir of GD Goenka School, Manav Jamwal of St Paul Convent School and Samrat Ashok of Jodhamal School.
The bronze medals were claimed by Rehan Gupta of Delhi Public School, Gaurik Khullar of Heritage School, Shouriya Billowria of KC Public School and Sidh Mahajan of Heritage School.
The J&K team participated in the competition under the supervision of Anil Nanda, Chief Technical Director, J&K Karate Association.
