JAMMU, Jan 12: A brilliant knock of 88 runs by Paras Sharma guided Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) to an emphatic win over Patel Cricket Club (PCC) in the 3rd Ravi Singh Charak Memorial Cricket Tournament at Higher Secondary School ground, Satwari, here today.
Earlier, batting first, JCC scored 148 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Paras Sharma was the top scorer with magnificent 88 runs, studded with 13 fours and 2 sixes. He sent the rival bowlers on a leather hunt with his utmost timing and fluid grace. For PCC, Anchal and Rahul took 2 wickets each.
In reply, PCC bundled out for 70 runs in 15.2 overs. Amit Rathi and Sachin contributed 26 and 15 runs respectively. For JCC, left-arm spinner Rohit Sharma bagged 5 wickets, while Manjeet claimed 2. Paeras Sharma was declared man of the match for his superb knock.
The match was officiated by Parshotam Sharma and Vijay Choudhary, while Rahul was the scorer.
Earlier, Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture, Raman Bhalla inaugurated the tournament in an impressive and well attended function.
Sarpanch Vishal Singh Charak, Bharat Bhushan and Hardev Singh were present on the occasion.
