JAMMU, May 20: Organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K, the Inter Zonal District Level Competitions of various sports disciplines concluded today at Khel Gaon, Nagrota.
The competitions were organized under the chairmanship of Director YSS Subhash Chander Chibber and overall supervision of DYSSO Jammu. On 2nd day today, about 290 girls of both Under-14 and Under-17 age groups participated in various sports disciplines for their best performance to meet in the next level of competitions.
In Tug of War (U-17 girls), Miran Sahib Zone emerged winner and Akhnoor has to be satisfied with runners up trophy while in U-14 girls category, Miran Sahib won winner’s trophy and Jammu remained runners up.
Zone Khour remained winner and Bishnah runners up in Kabaddi (U-17 girls) whereas in U-14 girls category, Akhnoor remained victorious and Bishnah runners up.
In Kho-Kho (U-17 girls), Zone Khour emerged winner and Gandhinagar runners up while in U-17 girls category, RS Pura won and Khour remained runners up.
All the winner up and runner teams were presented trophies by DYSSO Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma. ZPEO Dansal PEMs, PETs and other allied staff members were deployed for the conduct of all these activities. The matches were officiated by penal of experts of the Department.
