CHANDIGARH, Nov 9: Border Security Force and Central Reserve Police Force set up title clash in the team event of the 14th All-India Police Tennis Championship 2013. In the semi-final contests, the Securitymen ousted
Andhra Pradesh by 2-0 and CRPF registered a hard-fought 2-1 verdict against Indo-Tibetan Border Police.
In the open singles finals World Police champion Ashish Kapoor of Chandigarh Police will cross swords with Dr. Kanjom. Ashish Kapoor had a one sided 8-0 victory over M.K. Yadav. Dr. Kanjom defeated Vikram Dev 8-3 in semi-final matches.
In the veteran singles S.M. Sharma won a closely contested semi-final against Ashok Kumar 8-7 (3). He will be facing Randeep Dutta who defeated R.R. Bhatnagar with an identical score.
Results: Team Event (semi-finals): BSF bt Andhra Pradesh 2-0, CRPF bt ITBP 2-1.
