Climbers leave for Tata Steel Sports Climbing C’ship

JAMMU, Jan 30: Seven sport climbers including three girls of Mountaineering Association of J&K today left for Tata Nagar for participation in the upcoming 3rd Tata Steel Sport Climbing Championship, here today.
The championship is scheduled to be held at TSAF Sport Climbing Training Centre, Bistupur Jamshedpur from February 2 to 5. Shivani Charak, an international climber, accompanied the team as a player cum manager.
The members of Mountaineering Association led by Ashwani Sharma, former MLA and including Prof Lalit Magotra, President Dogri Sanstha, Ram Khajuria and Sumit Khajuria, senior vice president and vice president along with others gave a warm send off to the climbers.
Shivani Charak, Arun Deep Singh, Ananya Bhagat, Prachi Katoch, Sahil Kumar, Kashish Bharti and Aradhya Manhas were part of the team who left for participation in the championship at Tata Nagar. The team was sponsored by J&K Sports Council.
