SRINAGAR, June 26: 11th International Sqay Masters Cup 2022 concluded at Pahalgam Club Kashmir, here today.
About six countries participated in the championship wherein India emerged overall winners and lifted the overall championship trophy, while Iraq remained 2nd and stood 3rd by securing overall medal tally.
Players including Irfan Rangraz and Salma Rashid of Jammu and Kashmir showed remarkable performance throughout the championship by securing Gold medals in different weight categories.
Irfan Rangraz from Jammu and Kashmir lifted Masters Cup Trophy for India and Salma Rashid Mir lifted Runners up Trophy for country. Ved Prakash Solanki was the chief guest on the closing ceremony.
The newly elected president, Basharat Rasool of the Association congratulated all the medal winners and expressed hope that in near future our players will show remarkable performance at international arena.
He also disclosed that the Sqay Association is going to conduct the Inter-State National level Championship in the month of July in Ladakh.
