Traffic Police organises cycling expedition

LEH, Oct 30: Traffic Police Ladakh today organised a cycling expedition from Frog Point Gangles to Khardungla Top in memory of ‘War Heroes’, here today.

A total of 20 officers and officials, including lady officials of Ladakh Police participated in the cycling expedition.

The cycling expedition was flagged off by SSP CID, Stanzin Losal from Frog Point, Gangles and it culminated at Khardungla Top by covering a total distance of 28 kilometres.

Constable, Tsering Thinles of Indian Reserve Police (IRP) secured the first position, while Sub Inspector, Tashi Targais of Police Head Quarter (PHQ) secured second position and Sub Inspector, Tsering Namgyal of PHQ secured third position and SSP CID, Stanzin Losal secured the fourth position.

Medals and certificates were presented to the winners of the cycling expedition, whereas the female participants were given consolation prizes. All the participants were given a certificate of participation by the senior officers present during the occasion.

Speaking at the event, SP Traffic Mohd Rafi Giri emphasised the importance of physical fitness in daily routine and stressed on maintaining clean surroundings for leading a healthy life, whereas DySP Traffic, Rigzin Sandup presented the vote of thanks and shared that a similar event would also be held in future by the department.
