J&K Police XI beats Kashmir Maharaja FC in tie breaker

SRINAGAR, Oct 2:  J&K Police XI drubbed Kashmir Maharaja FC in a tiebreaker in the ongoing 1st Positive Kashmir Knockout Football Championship 2021, being played at Synthetic Turf TRC under flood light, here today.
Both the teams started with an aggressive note and tried to dominate each other, but failed to find the initial goal. The first half seemed to be virtually dominated by Kashmir Maharaja FC. They made certain brilliant moves at the goalpost but their attempts were foiled by J&K Police goalkeeper who made some beautiful saves and the 1st and 2nd half remained goalless. The match was decided by enforcing tiebreaker rules wherein J&K Police defeated Kashmir Maharaja FC by 3 goals to.
DGP Dilbag Singh was the chief guest on the occasion & Prof Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir was the guest of honour.
The tournament is being organized by J&K Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
Meanwhile in Khyber Premier Football League-2021, Ali Jana FC and J&K Bank XI scripted emphatic wins over their opponent J&K Forest XI and Food & Supplies XI by 3 goals to 1 and 5 goals to nil.
The first half between the Ali Jana FC and J&K Forest XI remained goalless while in the 2nd half, J&K Forest XI scored a single goal through Sameer in the 60th minute of the game and Ali Jana FC netted three goals in the 86th, 88th and last 10th minutes of the game through Kojo Obeng, Adil and Bismark respectively. Adil of Ali Jana FC was declared as man of the match.
In another match, J&K Bank defeated Food & Supplies XI by 5 goals to nil, besides Central Football Academy trounced Rising Star FC by 4 goals to nil and Nadurgund FC got better of Mahjoor FC by 2 goals to 1 in Division A matches being played at Gindun Stadium Rajbagh.
