JAMMU, Sept 4: Director Youth Services and Sports (YSS) J&K Gazanffar Ali today visited Khel Gaon and took stock of construction work.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Jammu Sukhdev Raj Sharma and other officers apprised Director Sports that the department is conducting Inter School Zonal Level Competitions in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Carrom, Chess, Tug-of-War and Cricket at Khel Gaon here for all zones of District Jammu and student players of all age groups are participating in these competitions.
Director Sports was told that the main objective behind conducting these competitions is to select the best players and teams for next level of competitions.
Director Sports also interacted with the young and budding players and expressed his best wishes to the field staff of the Department for organising the competitions in best possible manner.
Director YSS was accompanied by Jatinder Mishra, Deputy Director (Central), Ravi Kumar Deputy Director Planning YS&S, Team of Engineers from J&K Sports Council and ZPEO Dansal Veena Tickoo.
