Essay writing competition on ‘Quit India Movement’ held

JAMMU, Aug 9: Government Degree College Nagrota under the auspices of its Psychological Counselling Cell organised an essay writing competition on ‘Quit India Movement’ as a part of the College’s week long celebration to commemorate ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava’, here today.
The event was held under the supervision of Dr Attar Singh Kotwal, College Principal. The aim of the event was to pay homage to freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
Students participated enthusiastically in the competition and shared their views wherein essays of Komal Verma, Sunita Pandit and Rohini Sharma were adjudged best essays of the competition.
The event was judged by the organising committee members including Prof. Shalini Raina and Prof. Manisha Kumari.
