SAMBA, May 13: DIET organized District Level Seminar on Bio-Diversity Conservation under WWF project at Neta Ji High School, Vijaypur, in which students from various schools took part.
On the occasion, Dhananter Singh, District Education Planning Officer was the chief guest, while Karan Singh, HoD, DIET, Samba presided over the function.
While speaking, Dhananter Singh highlighted the importance of environment education in the school. He stressed on the Bio-Diversity conservation which is the need of the hour.
Adarshi Sharma of Neta Ji High School Vijaypur stood first, Rushie Verma, Government HSS Ghagwal and Priyanka of Government Girls High School, Ghagwal claimed second and third positions respectively in the competition.
The whole programme was organized by Anita Sharma, Lecturer Biology of DIET, Samba under the supervision of Karan Singh, HoD.
Among others present were Tara Chand, Jagdish Sharma, CD Sharma, Dr Parshotam Singh, Sanjay Sharma, Anjali Manhas, Raghunandan Singh and Sanjay Singh.
