MIER holds Alumni Meet

JAMMU, May 6: MIER College of Education, Jammu organized an Alumni Meet at its Campus, here today.
The objective of the Meet was to bring all the alumni on a single platform for exchange of new ideas for professional development as well as to help renew contacts with old friends.
The College has the distinction of producing more than 10000 trained professionals during the past 32 years
Dr Arun K Gupta, chairman MIER was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER was the guest of honour.
A very warm and affectionate welcome was accorded to all the alumni of the college by Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER, who said that alumni are an integral part of the institution and such meets act as a home coming for them when they can reminiscence about their days in the College.
Dr Arun Gupta, in his presidential address said that the role of alumni has been tremendous in the meteoric rise of the institute as it is on the basis of their valuable experiences and feedback that they have been able to achieve this lofty position.
A brief journey of the growth of the institution was portrayed by Mool Raj Sharma, who highlighted some of the landmarks that the College has achieved. He said the College has been conferred with autonomous status and re-accreditation with Grade ‘A’ by NAAC.
Alumni shared their experience on the occasion, recalling their experiences during their stay in the College and conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the college management and their dedicated teachers for providing them the right kind of training and environment.
Shefali and Susheel were adjudged as Ms and Mr Alumni respectively.
An impressive cultural programme was presented by the present batch.
Ms Vishali Razdan, convener, Alumni and Placement Committee presented vote of thanks, while the programme was conducted by Angela Gadroo, Assistant Professor, MIER College of Education.
