JAMMU, May 4: The students of Heaven Kingdom High School, Janipur added feather to their caps by securing top ranks in International English Olympiad (IEO), organised by Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) in association with the British Council.
In the International English Olympiad (IEO), class Ist student of the school Mahika Koul secured first rank, whereas, Harsh Bhat claimed 15th rank at State level in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh zone.
At city and school levels, Mahika Koul, daughter of HL Koul and resident of Pamposh Colony, Janipur has also secured first rank. Riyushi Roy and Riyanshu Roy secured gold medals at school level in the aforesaid competition.
Principal of the school, Renu Sachdeva applauded the efforts the students. She added that the winning top ranks in these kinds of competition are proudest moment for the State and the school as well.
For the Academic year 2012-13 more than 24,000 schools from over 1,000 cities were registered for Olympiads and millions of students appeared in them.
