KC International students blossom in Hapkido National C’ship

JAMMU, May 4: The athletes of KC International Jammu sparkled in the 1st Open National Hapkido Championship 2013, which concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The students of KC International School while representing Jammu and Kashmir in the 2-day Championship won maximum medals, thus kept the State flag high in this mega even, which was participated by 9 States from across the Country.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma, general secretary J&K Olympic Association was the chief guest on the occasion, while Kamal K Gupta, president Hapkido Federation of India was the guest of honour.
Satish Gupta, manager Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, SS Gill, Retired Assistant Commandant and Pawan Khullar were the special guest on the occasion, while Tarsem Sharma, general secretary Hapkido Federation of India was the organizing secretary.
Meanwhile, in toddler Under-11 boys 28 kg, Gorang Vaid bagged gold, Umar Dar, silver while the bronze went to Shurya Pathaniya and Akshit Digra.
In toddler, Under-11 32 kg, Nikhil Kerni bagged gold, Koshal Garg silver and the bronze was claimed by Danish Sharma and Harmandeep Singh.
Toddler Under-11 boys 45 kg gold went to Ritik Kumar, silver to Syed Sibtain and bronze to Pratham Sharma, while in Juvenile Under-17 boys, Ashish Sharma, M Santhosh and Mohit Kumar bagged gold, silver and bronze respectively.
In Juvenile Under-14 boys, 50 kg, Himanshu Bhat clinched gold, Rahul Khullar won silver and Prabhat got bronze, while in Juvenile Under-14 boys 55 kg, Raghav won gold, Suvansh Gupta claimed silver and the bronze went to Uday Singh.
The Juvenile Under-14 boys, 60 kg gold went to Paras Mehra, silver to Shubam, while K Shiva Ganesh and SK Mosin clinched bronze medals.
