J&K youth, children shine in 7th Youth Rural Games & Sports

JAMMU, Nov 25: Children and youth brought laurels for Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory by winning Gold and Silver medals in 7th Youth Rural Games and Sports Competition 2020, held at Goa from November 21 to 23.
The event was organised by Youth Rural Games and Sports Federation of India wherein nearly 49 children and youth from various districts and localities of J&K UT participated in this competition.
The participants have succeeded to win Gold medals in discipline of Volleyball Under-17 and Volleyball Under-19 whereas Kabaddi Under -19 team won Silver medal.
The participants stood first in Yoga and Athletic competitions also.
The participants were accompanied by Gurvinder Kour, State secretary/general secretary Youth Rural Games and Sports Association along with Seety Jyotshi (official of Yoga & Athletics), Makhan Singh (Cricket coach) and Gurpreet Singh (Manager).
Tajinder Singh, president of the Association congratulated the participants for their achievements and wished them good luck for their future competitions.
