BK Pora Zone emerges overall winner in Kho-Kho

JAMMU, Sept 21: Department of Youth Services and Sports today organised Inter-Zonal District Level competitions of various disciplines in different districts.
KATHUA: Inter-Zonal District Level Kho-Kho U-17 (boys) and Volleyball U-14 (boys) tournaments kicked off at Sports Stadium, here today.
For the first day, two matches of Volleyball and three matches of Kho-Kho were played under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Offficer, Sunil Kumar.
In Kho-Kho U-17 (boys) category: The first match of tournament was played between Zone Kathua and Barnoti wherein Zone Kathua won the match by 5 points, whereas 2nd match was also played between Kathua and Barnoti in which Kathua Zone again emerged as winner by 4 points and the third match was played between Kathua and Sallan wherein Sallan Zone clinched the match by 1 point.
In Volleyball U-14 (boys): Two matches were played between Sallan Zone & Billawar Zone and Bhaddu Zone & Sallan Zone. The Sallan Zone clinched both the matches by 2-0 sets.
All ZPEOs of 12 Zones of Kathua district were present during the tournament.
BUDGAM: B K Pora Zone today emerged overall winner in discipline of Kho-Kho (Boys) U-14, U-17 and U19 categories.
Three final matches were played at Sports Stadium Budgam in which BK Pora Zone defeated Dregam Zone, Chadoora Zone and Dregam Zone in U-19, U-17 and U-14 categories.
The matches were organised under the supervision of DYSSO Budgam, Sunil Singh.
