8th J&K State Shooting Championship concludes

SAMBA, Mar 28: 8th J&K State Shooting Championship concluded at General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club, Dogra Educational Complex, Bari Brahmana, here today.
The championship was held from March 23 to 28, 2018, in which about 200 Shooters from across the State participated.
Shreya Saxena who represented India in Junior Asian Championship at WAKO, Japan 2017, besides, winning 11 Gold and 2 Silver Medals in National Championships in 2017 and  Kavya Kochhar who bagged 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals in National competitions in the year 2017 were the star attractions.
Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and Chairman Dogra Educational Trust presided over the function, who also encouraged all the participants and medal winners. He thanked JKRA for organizing this event in General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club Bari Brahmana.
He appreciated Sharat Chander Singh and Rajesh Virdhy for their continuous effort in organizing this championship in a well organized way.
Earlier, the welcome address was presented by Kuldeep Singh Jamwal and the vote of thanks was presented by Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary DET and General Secretary, General Zorawar Singh Rifle Club.
The members of JKRA and a large number of sports personalities were present on the occasion.
Those who won gold medals in various events included Adhiraj Singh Charak, Pragya Verma, Keshav Dogra, Aneesha Sharma, Arun Chib, Roshni Virdhi, Vishal Sharma, Jyotshna, Aditya Salathia, Areen Kitchloo, Divyansh Singh Charak, Kavya Kochhar, Sangram Singh, Anubha Suryavanshi, Madhu Pal Singh and Greety Mahajan.
