KATRA, Apr 12: 87th Jhajjar Kotli Kesari Vishal Dangal will be organized on April 16, at Jhajjar Kotli, here.
The said Dangal is organized by Jhajjar Kotli Dangal Committee, under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, under the overall supervision of Shiv Kumar Sharma and Ravi Kumar Baru, president Jhajjar Kotli Dangal Committee.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held at Katra, under the chairmanship of Ravi Kumar Baru.
The members who attended the meeting were Shiv Kumar Sharma, president for Indian Style Wrestling Association Swarn Singh Chark, Durga Dass, Thappa, Sultan Mohd, Sarpanch Madan Mohan Dubey, Kaka Ram, Bishan Dass, Satish Kumar, Neelam Kumar Baru, Bashir Mohd. Malik, Khan Mir, Ajit Singh, Magger Singh, Tarsem Singh, Yesh Paul, Hussain Mohd, Kala Baru, Shashi Paul Singh, Vijay Kumar Dubey, Nuberdar Rinku, Sonu Dubey, Yesh Paul Khajuria, RajinderSingh (Babbi) Tara Mani, Rinku Baru, Sanjay Kumar Dubey, Om Prakash Dubey, Sanjay Singh, Garib Dass, Vijay Kumar, Tilak Raj A.S.I, Yashwant Singh, Tara Chand Dubi and Mohd Shafi (Retd Headmaster).
Shiv Kumar Sharma, who is also treasurer of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India said a notable feature of this Dangal is that it is being conducted regularly at Jhajjar Kotli for the last 87 years every year on the birth anniversary of Dr Karan Singh, MP.
Mr Sharma said it was also decided in the meeting to honour the best wrestler of the Dangal with “87th Jhajjar Kotli Kesari 2015” title along with Patta and handsome cash prize.
