7th Police Martyrs T20 Cricket Tournament inaugurated

kishtwar, Mar 16 :  7th Police Martyrs Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by District Police Kishtwar under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Chowgan Ground here today .
About 32 top teams of Kishtwar district are praticipating in the event. Ghulam Nabi Balwan, District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar was chief guest on the occasion, who declared open the tournament in presence of SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir, Brig. Ashit Bajpaee, Commander 9 Sector RR, P.K Langer, General Manager NHPC Kishtwar and Deewan Chand, District Sports Officer. The tournament is held every year to commemorate the sacrifices of Martyrs of J&K Police. The inaugural match was played between Hatta Eleven and Young star. Battting first, after winning the toss, Young Star scored 125 runs in allotted 20 overs. Hatta Eleven won the match, reaching the target in 16 over by losing 6 wickets. Sahil of Hatta Eleven scored 53 runs and was declared as man of the match.
