42 RR organizes ‘Chilai Kalan’ Mela

PULWAMA, Jan 19: 42 RR at Tral under the aegis of Chinar Corps and Victor Force organized a Chilai Kalan Mela in an effort to reach out to the people of Tral by sharing culture and traditions in the coldest part of Kashmir winters.
The Mela composed of a number of events and stalls to cater to the needs of the people from all age groups and sections of the society.
The Mela showcased numerous games for the youth, stalls offering sumptuous eatables, refreshments, attractively clothes and garments, free medical and aid stall and Swachh Bharat initative.
The local dog show by the Army was the highlight of the day.
The people of Tral lauded the efforts of the Army to enable them to celebrate the traditional festivals with the locals and looked forward to more such initiatives by the Army in the near future.
