Jammu, Nov 1: 3rd Men and Women Bodylifting Championship 2014-15 concluded at Brahman Sabha Parade, here today.
Around 150 Bodylifters from various districts of J&K State participated in the Championship. J B Inqulabi, Director School Education was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking on the occasion, emphasized the role of the sports in the life of a person and assured full support from the State Government for the upliftment of the game in the State.
Shoket Hussain Kazmi, president of the Association and Director Phari speaking people, M Y Kachloo, SSP Vigilance and Amar Singh, Joint Controller legal Metrology Department and Shabir Khan (KSP) were the guests of honour.
The other dignitaries present on the occasion were S. Daljeet Singh SHO Pacca Danga, Mohinder Sharma Sr Lecturer, Naveen Sharma Inspector ,Varinder Singh JKP, Rakesh Kumar Organizing Secretary, Suresh Pal, Ajay Sharma, Kuldeep Singh, Shweta Dutta, Namish Srivastava, Adil Ashraf, Amit Dutta, General Secretary.
J&K Bodylifting Association presented welcome address.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajeev Chib, Imran Rouf, Pawan Sharma,Rahul Manhas, Rajesh Sharma.
The gold medal winners in different weight categories included Sawan Kumar, Satvir, Ravi Singh, Rohit Singh, Zahoor Ahmed Bhat, Jagroop Singh, Rishi Rolli, Varinder, Vikram Sharma, Waqar Paul, Sumit, Faisl Paul, Rahul Manhas and Rajesh Sharma.
