32-member Indian Wushu team leaves for Vietnam

JAMMU, Aug 17: To participate in the 8th Asian Wushu Championship to be held from August 17 to August 26, 2012, the 32-member Indian Wushu team left for HO Chi Minh City, Vietnam, here today.
The team is being accompanied as coaches by J&K’s Inspector Kuldeep Handoo, Md Islamudin, Vivek Samania and M Sachidananda Singh, while Navneeta will be the physiotherapist and Rajvir Singh and Prem Singh as judges. Bhupender Singh Bajwa, president WAI, Manish Kackar, general secretary and Vijay Saraf, vice president will be the observers.
The team: Sanshou (Men and Women); Manoj, Santosh Kumar, M Bimoljit Singh, Pawan Gupta, Bhabajit Chowdhary, O Joy Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Y Sanathoi Devi, K Arun Pama Devi, Pooja Kaddian, I Bijeta Chanu and Vishakha Malik.
Taolu (Men and Women); L Rattan Singh, Anjul Namdeo, S Somorjit Singh, M Sadananda, H Deewan Singh, M Gyandash Singh, Y Sapna Devi, L Sanatombi Chanu, S Choabi Devi and Kh Bidyashwori Chanu.
The team was flagged off by RK Naidu, Regional Director, Sports Authority of India (SAI), Bhopal, while HK Lohia, chairman Wushu Association of J&K wished the team good luck.
