SRINAGAR, May 27: In connection with celebration of Mehraj-ul-Aalam, the Islamic Educational Institute, Gulshanabad, Hyderpora organized a function in which Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone was the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister highlighted various aspects of life of Prophet Mohammad (SAW), saying that the speeches, messages and teachings of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) on human love, brotherhood and kindness have universal acceptance and relevance.
Mr Lone said that the students need to acquire traditional education along with the education relating to Science and technology.
Later, the Minister distributed the certificates among the students participated in First Kashmir Gold Cup Taekwon-Do Championship held in Sher-i-Kashmir indoor stadium in November 2013.
The Minister said that 2nd Kashmir Gold Cup Championship in Taekwon-Do of international level would be organized in the Month of August. The 4-day championship would commence from August 26, 2014 in Srinagar in which participants from Sri-Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Malaysia are expected to be participate.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Additional Deputy Commissioner, superintendent of police, Chairman Islamic Educational Institute, President JKFTA, besides religious scholars were also present.
