JAMMU, June 5: 2nd group of Tawi Trekkers J&K comprising of 46 students including 21 girls of St. Xavier Convent Senior Secondary School, Barnai, Jammu left Jammu today to participate in the Dharamshala Himalayan Trekking Programme, being organized by the club under the Chairmanship of Anil Goswami, former Union Home Secretary.
The group being led by Souravdeep Singh, a trained mountaineer of Tawi Trekkers and Suksham, a senior trekker also includes three teachers of the school namelySusal Danish, Vanessa Jenny and Sukanshi Sharma.
Earlier, the group was flagged off by Mridhu Padha, Administrator of the school in the presence of President of Tawi Trekkers Ram Khajuria,staff of the school and a large number of parents of the students.
Meanwhile the first group of trekkers of Oriental Academy Sr Secondary School, Jammu has reached back after a thrilling experience of trekking in the mighty Dhauladhars and a learning experience of visit to a sprawling tea garden, a tea manufacturing company where they learnt the complete process of production of tea.
