JAMMU, Oct 17: GD Goenka Public School hosted 2nd edition of GD MUN-2022 at Four A Lords Resort Birpur where young zealous delegates and executive board members interacted with each other to deliberate discussion and share their articulate opinions, here.
The hosts for the event, Uttkarsh Gupta and Dhriti extended a warm welcome to everyone. This auspicious occasion commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by Colonel Arvind Verma as the chief guest, while Arindam Roy Choudhury, Principal and Asmi Anand, President of GD MUN were present during the event.
Chairman of the School, Rahul Bansal and the Director, Sanya Bansal conveyed their best wishes to the delegates and the organising committee of GD MUN. A mellifluous ode to Maa Saraswati was presented by Sabhya, a class IV student during the lamp lighting ceremony.
The school choir presented a melodious song which was apt for this occasion Principal, Roy Choudhury addressed the august gathering and encouraged delegates to be open-minded, rational in their approach and ensure that this MUN becomes a learning curve for each of them.
Director General, Head Girl, Manya Sharma, Joint Secretary, Head Boy, Mankaran Singh Tandon and President of GD MUN, Asmi Anand addressed the delegates, followed by the members of the organising committee and executive board members of the committees were felicitated by the chief guest.
The second and third day of the event witnessed some phenomenal insights and discussions by 350 delegates who participated fervently in their committees. The band members Shivam Koul, Pranav Raina, Nitin Pandita, Kanav Prasher and Aditya Thusoo enthralled the audience.
Pradeep Dutta, the senior editor of Times Now as the chief guest for the closing ceremony. He spoke about the significance of attributes which shape and help in character building. The chief guest felicitated the executive board members of all the committees and the delegates with best delegate, high commendation and special mention awards. Jodhamal Public School bagged the best school delegation award for GD MUN 2022.
