POONCH, Oct 10: Poonch District Open Table Tennis Championship under different age groups, being organized by District Table Tennis Association Poonch, under the aegis of J&K State Table Tennis Association got underway, here today.
The Championship was declared open by President of District TT Association Ajeet Singh and Er Saleem Bandey, General Secretary of the Association in presence of Narinder Singh, Salil Raina and Sandeep Luthra.
In the matches played today, Ridhik beat Akshit 11-9,11-9, Gursheesh drubbed Ashutosh 9-11, 12-10, 11-9, Pranav trounced Kaif 11-5,118, Pratham defeated Pranav 12-10-11-6. In the first semifinal, Ridhik outplayed Gursheesh 11-7,11-9, while in second semifinal, Pratham outclassed Pranav 11-9,11-8.
Now, Pratham will take on Ridhik for the title clash.
In Cadet Girls category, Vanshika outclassed Dyanshi 11-8,11-8, Suhani bt Bhumi 11-9,11-6.
Now, Vanshika will meet Suhani for the summit clash.
The matches were held under the supervision of Narinder Singh (PEM).
