JAMMU, Dec 27: J&K Sports Speed Ball Association selected 26 players for Speed Ball North India Championship 2012, being organized by Speed Ball Association of India at New Delhi from December 29 to December 31, 2013.
Navin Aggarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports, accompanied by Joint Director, Madan Lal and Deputy Director, Kanchan Bala flagged off the team in a simple function.
While interacting with the players on the occasion, president of J&K Sports Speed Ball Association, Anil Nanda said that the talented players have been selected for the Championship.
Those who were selected for championship included Manthan Pandoh, Mansi Jamwal, Amandeep Singh, Sahil Janjua, Himanshu Sharma, Rhea Tikku, Gurmanjeet Singh, Aryan Kangotra, Pranay Gupta, Ishita Raina, Sugandh Mehta, Ujjwal Slathia, Adeev Kundal, Rahul Kumar, Varunpreet Singh, Pratham Thappa, Aditya Avasti, Dikshant, Mradima Gupta, Harvinder Kour, Dalip Kumar, Samkash Kumar, Ritik Ratra, Aditya Partap,
Sunny Nanda is accompanying the team as coach.
Gold medalists in this Championship will be selected for 7th National Speed Ball Championship to be held in Kerala in May, 2014.
