2-day J&K State Power Lifting Championship concludes

JAMMU, July 15: Two days J&K State Power Lifting Championship Sub Junior, Junior, Senior and Master Men and Women Unequipped and Equipped Power Lifting Championship concluded at Any Time Fitness Gym, Transport Nagar, here.
The Championship was organized by All J&K State Power Lifting Association affiliated to Power Lifting India and was held under the observer of J&K State Sports Council Weightlifting and Powerlifting coach.
MLC Vikram Randhawa was the chief guest on the occasion while Aditi Sharma was the guest of honour who distributed prizes among the winners and runner-up players.
Vickramjeet Singh and Sakshi Koul emerged best lifters in Senior Equipped Power Lifting Championship while Roshan Sharma and Surbhi Bali emerged best lifters in Senior Unequipped Power Lifting Championship while Sunil Chib emerged best lifter in Junior Unequipped Power Lifting Championship and Vishal Sudan was top performer in Sub Junior Power Lifting Championship.
Vickramjeet Singh broke all the previous records and set new record in squat by lifting 420 kg and 235 kg in bench press with total of 935 kg while Jagbir Singh also set new record in unequipped bench press by lifting 200 kg.
Around 200 players participated from various districts of J&K including Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Leh and Srinagar.
The organisers included Ajay Sharma (General Secretary), Rahul Sawhney (Senior Vice President), Gulzar Singh & Vikram Singh (Vice Presidents), Sanjeev Singh & Adil Ashraf Khan (Joint Secretaries), Ravinder Sharma (Treasurer) and the Executive Members namely Suresh Paul, Deepak Jyoti, Sumit Gupta, Anshuman Sharma, Sajad, Joginder, Gourav Gupta, Shabee Ahmed, Sandeep Banmotra and Karnail Choudhary.
The championship was sponsored by Any time Fitness Gym.
