JAMMU, Jan 11: A meeting of the Director Sports, Deputy Director Sports, Representatives of the nine Universities / Deemed Universities of J&K State was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director Sports of University of Jammu to discuss the modalities regarding the conduct of the 1st State Universities Sports Championships 2016-17 being organized by the University of Jammu, here.
Prof. Nisar Ahmed Rather, (Director Sports, Kashmir University), Dr. Sonam Angchok (CIBS Leh), Dr. Rajinder Lal (Rashtriya Sanaskrit Sansthan Jammu) Mohd. Din (Dy. Director BGSBU, Rajouri), Dr. Sandeep Seghal (SKUAST Jammu), Dr. Ajaz Ahmed Qureshi (SKUAST Kashmir), Dr. Vikas Srivastava (Central University Jammu), Mr. Ashok Kumar and Dr. Ajay Sharma (SMVDSB and SMVDU Katra), Dr. G.H. Yatoo (SKIMS Soura Kashmir), Sh. Ramesh Sharma, Sh. Romesh Magotra, Dr. Brij Baloria, Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Sh. Ravish Vaid, Sh. Gagan Kumar, Sh. Vikas Karlopia, Jai Bharat and P.D. Singh attended the meeting.
The members discussed various matter related to the successful conduct of the 1st State Universities Sports Championships to be organized by the University of Jammu in the month of April 2017.
The competitions in the disciplines of Cricket, Volleyball, Table-Tennis, Football, Hockey, Basketball, Handball and Badminton shall be organized in both men and women Sections.
