SAMBA, Jan 16: 1st Pencak Silat Championship, organised by District Samba Pencak Silat Association, concluded at Radiya Panchayat Ghar, here today.
The championship was organised under three categories including Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 wherein 100 students of different Clubs and Schools participated.
Atul Charak, Mohit Dogra, Happy Verma, Bhupinder Singh, Arjun Kumar, Ankush Sharma, Gautam Sadotra, Sahil Gupta, Nitish Kumar, Ashish Sharma, Vishati Sharma were among Gold medal winners, whereas Silver medals were clinched by Kamal Jeet Singh, Brijesh Charak, Rajnesh Sharma and Danish Sharma.
DDC Chairperson Shilpa Dubey and Sarpanch Radiyan Nirmala Sharma were the chief guests of the closing ceremony, wheras Satish Sharma president of Association and Ajay Sharma general secretary were also present during the function.
