JAMMU, Nov 11: First Open District Karate Do Championship of district Kathua was organized by Tenshinkan Sports Karate-Do Association on November 8 and 9, 2014 at JK Public School, Kathua.
Various schools and private clubs from Jammu and Kathua districts participated in the championship.
On the occasion, Shihan Sanjeev Dewan, chief instructor India (RGKFI) and joint treasurer, All India Karate Do Federation, was the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
Speaking on the occasion, Dewan said that the main aim of organizing the championship at district level is to provide a platform to the budding talents to showcase the art of self defence so that they can compete at National and international levels.
The championship was officiated by Rajinder Kumar, Vikas Dhar, Mohit, Prashant Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Sahil Sambyal and Revti Nandan while Rita Sharma, organizing committee member was also present.
