JAMMU, May 16: 18-member women hockey team has left for Haldwani in Uttrakhand to participate in the 4th Hockey India Sub Junior Hockey Championship which has begun on May 15 and will conclude on May 25, 2014.
The team was selected by Hockey J&K and is being sponsored by J&K State Sports Council. Earlier, the screening of team was done by Divisional Sports Officer of Sports Council, Rajan Sharma and Dr Nirmolak Singh, member Sports Council in presence of members of Hockey J&K.
The team: Nisha Kumari, Avneet Kaur, Inpreet Kaur, Sakshi Sharma, Ashu Devi, Mridhu Sharma, Pooja Devi (Captain), Ishta Sharma, Jasmeet Kaur, Abhilove Kaur, Payal Sharma, Simran, Priya Thakur, Ruksana Kounsar, Ridhika Ganga, Ankush Kumari, Harneet Kaur and Radha Rani.
The team is being accompanied by Dalvinder Singh as coach and Asha Rani as manager.
