179 girls compete in U-17 Inter-School Tournament

REASI, May 5: Department of Youth Services and Sports, Zone Reasi, successfully organized the Inter-School Zone Level Under-17 Girls Tournament at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Reasi. The tournament showcased thrilling competitions in Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Kabaddi, drawing participation from 179 girls representing various schools across the Reasi zone.
The event was graced by Deepak Sharma, Principal of BHSS Reasi, who attended as the chief guest. The tournament featured nail-biting finishes and impressive displays of skill and teamwork in all three disciplines.
In Kho-Kho, Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Reasi narrowly edged out GHSS Agharjitto by a single point. In Kabaddi, HSS Bhagdar displayed a commanding performance to defeat GHS Kambal Danga by four points. Meanwhile, in an intense Volleyball match, GHS Kambal Danga clinched victory over GHSS Bhagdar with a 2-1 scoreline.
The event was conducted under the overall supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer Asha Devi. The tournament also witnessed the presence of lecturers Des Raj, Hukam Chand, and Rasveer Singh. All matches were officiated by officials deputed by the Zonal Physical Education Office.
