15th District Jammu Taekwondo C’ship commences

JAMMU, Sept 8: Two days 15th District Jammu Taekwondo Championships, being organised by District Jammu Taekwondo Association under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association and Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) commenced today at Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, Bantalab, Jammu.
A total 12 clubs and schools are participating in the championship.
Anil Gupta, Chairman, J&K Taekwondo Association, who was the chief guest, declared the championship open in presence of Rahul Sharma, Director of Sprawling Buds School and Principal Pooja Sharma, who were the guests of honour.
The purpose of this Championship is to select players for the forthcoming State Championship and National Championships under the TFI.
Among others present were Anuj Sharma, member DJTA, Atul Pangotra, PC Sharma, president, JKTA, Chairman of the championship, DN Pangotra, general secretary, DJTA and organising secretary of the championship, Gurinder Rakwal, vice president, DJTA and convenor of Championship.

Sub Junior Girls
In below 20kg, Bhargav (Army School), Arunima Sharma (Sprawlig Buds), Ishika Chib (Santosh Vidya Mandir) and Bhoomi Sharma (Shangrilla School) emerged winners.
In below 22kg, Shreya Gupta (VAOT), Jiya Barya(May Fair), Nandani Bhagar (Santosh Vidya) and Sanvi Goja (Sprawling Buds) emerged winners.
In below 24kg, Asma Gul (VAOT), Harsha Manhas (Army school), Harshita Chouhan (Spraling Buds) and Kashish Gupta (May Fair School) emerged winners.
In below 29kg, Vaibhavi Sharma (Sprawling Buds), Akanksha Sharma (Shangrila), Manpreet Kour (Shangrilla) and Kunjal Kour (Sprawling Buds) emerged winners.
In below 32kg, Komal Diman (VAOT), Fiza Mahvish Ansari (Santosh Vidya), Attiya Saleem (Santosh Vidya) and Bhoomika  (Shangrilla) emerged winners.
In below 35kg, Shilpa Kumari (Tiger Club), Khushi Sharma (Shangrilla), Sakshi Sharma (Tiny Tots) and Harshita Khajuria (Shangrilla) emerged winners.
In below 41kg, Vishali Kumar (APS), Diksha Ratra (Shangrilla), Asiya Choudhary (Shangrilla) and Vidhi Sharma (Shangrilla Public School) emerged winners.
Sub- Junior Open Girls: Kirti (Tiger Club), Riya Chib (Tiny Tots), Aliya Choudhary (Shangrilla) and Vidhi Sharma (Shangrilla) emerged winners.
Sub Junior Boys:
In below 7 years, Parth Gupta (Shangrilla), Vaibhav Abrol (VAOT, JK Public School), Vivek Mahajan (Santosh Vidya ) and Rudra Pratap Singh (Sprawling Buds) emerged winners.
In below 17 kg, Randeep Parihar (Sprawling Buds), Basit (Santosh Vidya), Akshilesh Sharma (Sprawling Buds) and Ankit Singh (Santosh Vidya) emerged winners.
In below 19 Kg, Achutam Dev Singh (VAOT), Varun Mehra (VAOT), Vishav Gupta (Shangrilla) and Vishav Pratap Singh Sprawling Buds) emerged winners.
In below 21kg, Raghav Mehra (VOAT), Hritik Rayaan (Army SCHOOL), Naman Preet Singh (Army School) and Abhimanyu Gupta (Army School ) emerged winners.
In below 23 kg, ARYAN GUPTA (VAOT), Aditya Bhagat (Army School), Varun Sharma (Tiger Club) and Pankaj Kumar (Marh Block) emerged winners.
In below 25 kg, Robain Gill (VAOT), Tushar Gupta (VAOT), Mritunjay Sharma (Shangrilla) and Vagush Sharma (Shangrilla) emerged winners.
The matches were officiated by Vikrant Narwalia, Arjun Gupta, Adnan Beigh, Varinder Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Mukta Gupta, Manpreet Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Rahul Chib, Rajat Thakur.
