JAMMU, Sept 27: The closing ceremony cum prize distribution function of 11th J&K UT Shooting Championship was held at J&K Police GO’s Mess Gulshan Ground, here today.
Dilbag Singh, DGP J&K was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed the certificates and medals to the winners in presence of Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu.
Others who were present on the occasion were Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, president JKRA, Sohan Lal Sharma vice president, Sharat Chander Singh vice president, Surinder Singh Sodhi treasurer, Anupam Sambyal, TS Tony, Manu Partap Singh, executive members of the Association and VS Pathania and Samardev Singh Charak members advisory committee JKRA, while Rajiv Sharma president Hockey J&K and member J&K Sports Council was the special invitee.
Kuldeep Singh Jamwal presented the welcome address, while Surinder Singh Sodhi read out a brief about the activities and achievements of the Association and Sharat Chander Singh presented the vote of thanks.
The matches were conducted by Anu Sharma ISSF official nominated by NRAI along Surjit Singh, Tarun Dev Singh, Vishal Mehra, Madhupal Singh, Vijay Kumar, Avinash Basotra, Pranav Sambyal and Sahil Sharma under the supervision of Rajesh Virdhy chairman technical committee.
In 10mtrs air rifle sub-junior men, Viraj Koushal, Akul Mengi and Anirudh Sharma stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in 10mtrs youth men, Krish Singh Chauhan stood 1st and in 10 mtrs junior men, Rimit Singh remained first, in 10mtrs senior men, Tajinder Pal Singh, Sunny Khajuria and Heemanshu Kumar bagged top three positions respectively.
In 10 mtrs air rifle sub junior women, Neha Verma, Katreena Kaif and Sanskriti Rajput won top three places respectively, while in junior women, Shimani Choudhary stood 1st, in senior women, Janvi and Oshien Dutta won 1st and 2nd positions respectively.
In 10mtrs air rifle (MQS), Kamal Sharma and Akhileshwar Singh Charak stood 1st and 2nd, while in junior men, Divyansh Singh Charak and Prajwal Dev Singh remained 1st and 2nd respectively, in men 10 mtrs, Varun Partap Singh Bhadwal, Abhay Gupta and Anil Kumar bagged top three medals respectively and in men (MQS), Romijeet Singh, Vishab Sharma and Gurmeet Singh won top three places respectively and 10 mtrs sub youth women, Veshali Sharma, Yashika Sharma and Sara Rawat clinched top three places respectively.
In 10mtrs youth women, Sanvi Gupta, Bhagirathi and Pavneet Kour bagged top three positions respectively, while in junior women, Sumeet Choudhary stood 1st, in senior women (NR), Aayushi Sharma, Shiwani Kamal, Surbhi Gupta remained 1st , 2nd and 3rd respectively, in women (MQS), Diya stood 1st.
In 50mtrs men free pistol (NR), Vishab Sharma stood 1st, in men (MQS), Abhay Gupta won 1st place, in 25mtrs pistol men (MSQ), Abhay Gupta stood 1st and in 50mtrs rifle prone men (NR), Rajinder Singh, Mohd Younas and Kamal Sharma bagged top three places.
In 50mtrs rifle prone master men (NR), surinder Singh Chib stood 1st, in 50mtrs rifle 3-position men (NR), Mohd Younas, Tajinder Paul Singh and Mohd Shafait won top three places respectively.
