11th J&K Open School Taekwondo C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Feb 28: 11th J&K Open School Taekwondo Championship 2019 concluded at Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Chinore,here.
The event was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association.
Over 300 players drawn from fifteen schools across Jammu province participated in the championship to vie for the top honours. The purpose of organizing the Championship was to provide professional platform to the athletes of Taekwondo at the grass-root level (school level).
The event was conceptualised by the technical committee of J&K Taekwondo Association under the supervision of DN Pangotra, Acting President TFI.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Bantalab was adjudged ovrall champion.
Rahul Sharma, Chairman Sprawling Buds ICSE School was the chief guest on the closing ceremony, while Subash Shastri (President NMC) was the guest of honour.
The chief guest and the guests of honour felicitated the medal winners on the occasion.
Atul Pangotra (Referee Chairman TFI) was also present  as the special guest.
Later on the ceremonial stage was also joined by Zaheer Abbass Khan (Treasurer JKTA).
Gurinder Rakwal, Organizing Secretary of the Championship presented vote of Thanks.
