JAMMU, Dec 19: Young Hero FC and Winter Capital FC registered impressive victories in their respective matches in the ongoing 19th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament 2025 at Mini Stadium, Parade Ground, Jammu. The tournament is being organised by the All J&K Sports and Cultural Welfare Association.
In the first match, Young Hero FC outplayed Poonch FC by a convincing 4-0 margin. Bhanu opened the score in the 21st minute, followed by goals from Jayant (30th), Mokshan (15th) and Saksham (58th). A red card was shown to Pranay of Young Hero FC and Sofian Ahmed Mughal of Poonch FC, while yellow cards were issued to Mohd Sofian, Amir Majid and Sudanshu Sharma.
In the second match, Winter Capital FC edged past Young Rover FC by 2-1. Zain scored for Winter Capital in the 13th minute, Anmol equalised a minute later for Young Rover, while Ashish netted the winning goal in the 55th minute. Shivam received a yellow card.
Chief Guest on the occasion was Ranjit Kanwar (Retd. SSP), David Masih, Ramesh Chander, Yousaf Don, Kamaljeet, Sodagar Mattoo, Peter Sandhu, Sebastian, Nitin Bagga, and Rajesh Sumbariya were also present. The referees for the first match were Aman Sudan, Kartik Sharma, Ramesh Kumar, and Satnam, while for the second match; they were Ricky, Bilal, Kartik, and Ramesh Kumar.
