Young diplomats from Jodhamal earn laurels at WELMUN 2025

JAMMU, Aug 6: A six-member delegation from Jodhamal Public School brought glory to the institution with their outstanding performance at WELMUN 2025, hosted by Welham Boys’ School, Dehradun. The prestigious Model United Nations conference saw participation from 24 of India’s top schools over three days of intense debate and diplomacy.
The Jodhamal team – Pavitt Singh, Aarav Handoo, Aarit Gupta, Aarit Malhotra and Aaradhya Bhandari – stood out for their research, articulation and diplomatic acumen. Aarav Handoo was awarded Outstanding Delegate in the UNHCR committee, while Pavitt Singh and Aarit Gupta received Honourable Mentions in the UN Security Council. Aarit Malhotra earned a Verbal Mention in the International Press Corps (IPC). The students, from Classes 8 to 10, competed successfully against senior students from Classes 11 and 12.
Their success was guided by mentors Anjali, Raghunandan, Pooja Sharma (CCA Coordinator) and escort teacher Ruby Sharma. The school’s leadership – Trustee Nandan Kuthiala, Director Aarti Kuthiala, Principal Dr. Deep Khare and Vice Principal Amita Arora congratulated the team and appreciated the faculty for their dedication.
