JAMMU, Apr 9: The Wrestling Association of Jammu and Kashmir will conduct selection trials for the U-17 Boys and Girls Wrestling Championship on April 16 at the Police Line Wrestling Hall, Gulshan Ground, Jammu. The event is being organized in collaboration with the J&K Police and under the aegis of the Wrestling Federation of India, J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association.
Wrestlers selected in each weight category will go on to represent Jammu and Kashmir at the U-17 National Wrestling Championship scheduled from April 28 to 30 at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Stadium, Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
Eligible participants are boys and girls born in 2009–2010 and those born in 2011 may also participate with a medical and parental certificate. Competitors must report at 8 am with a photocopy of their Aadhaar card and birth certificate.
