JAMMU, Jan 23: The Wrestling Association of Jammu and Kashmir (WAJK) will organize selection trials for the upcoming Federation Cup 2026 on January 27 at Jammu University Wrestling Hall. The trials are being conducted in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, under the auspices of the Wrestling Federation of India, J&K Sports Council and the J&K Olympic Association.
According to the organizers, selected wrestlers in each weight category will represent Jammu and Kashmir in the Federation Cup, scheduled to be held at Dasna, Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), from February 12 to 14, 2026.
Wrestlers born in the year 2005 and above are eligible to participate in the trials. Those born in 2006 may also take part, subject to submission of valid medical and parental consent certificates. Interested wrestlers have been instructed to report at the venue at 8:00 am along with a photocopy of their Aadhaar card.
