JAMMU, July 16: In a momentous stride for women empowerment and national pride, the Shakti Udghosh Foundation today unveiled the official jerseys for ‘Shakti Yatra: Wheels of Valour – Ride with Pride 2.0’, here today.
This all-women motorbike expedition, led by Preeti Choudhary, Convenor of the Foundation, will see 26 fearless women bikers ride over 2,000 kilometers from Jammu to Rezang La. The journey is not just an adventure-it is a national tribute dedicated to “Operation Sindoor”, honouring the blood and bravery of Indian soldiers, especially those in Ladakh’s highest battlefields.
Affiliated with the “My Bharat Padyatra” under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, this initiative aims to ignite nationalism, foster unity, and mobilize women from across the country. Since 2016, Shakti Udghosh has been championing patriotic women-led movements.
Riders from clubs like Let’s Ryde (Delhi), Bikerni Group (Indore), and several independent bikers will participate. Among them are renowned names like Shivani Pawar, Aarti Malhotra, Isha Bali, Anjali Sharma and Nitish Singhal, all standing united under the tricolour.
“This is the roar of the Indian woman echoing from Jammu to Rezang La. Every kilometer is a tribute, every engine rev a salute,” said Preeti Choudhary. As the engines roar and spirits soar, Shakti Yatra 2.0 promises to be a historic celebration of India’s Nari Shakti, resilience, and patriotism.
