SAMBA, Mar 26: A volleyball tournament organised by Samba Police under the Civic Action Programme (2025-2026) concluded at Higher Secondary School, Gurha Slathia, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from eight teams across the district and drew a large number of local spectators. In an exciting final, Team Rahya defeated Team Garota Mandi to emerge as the champions of the tournament. Both the winning and runner-up teams were presented with trophies by the Samba Police in recognition of their performance.
The closing ceremony was attended by SDPO Vijaypur, SHO PS Vijaypur, and other police officials, who appreciated the teams for their competitive spirit and encouraged the youth to participate in sports activities as a means of fostering community engagement and healthy recreation.
