Vice Chancellor KU stresses for moral education

GANDERBAL, Sept 20:  Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University Professor Khurshid Andrabi has stressed that besides contemporary education students should also be provided with moral education.
The VC who was the Chief Guest at an annual day celebratory function of Qamaria Model Higher Secondary Education Institute Saloora Ganderbal said that inculcating moral values among youth is must to preserve our culture.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat and  Director Iqbal Institute, University  of Kashmir, Prof Bashir Ahmad Nehvi attended the function as guests of honor, while former Chief Secretary and Chairman QMHSEI , Sheikh Ghulam Rasool presided over the function.
Speaking on this occasion Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal Showkat Aijaz Bhat said that students have pivotal role in nation building activities.
The DC stressed on students to work hard in studies and exhibit talent in national and international level competitions and bring laurels to the State.
Sheikh Ghulam Rasool in his presidential address highlighted the achievements of the institute  and emphasized for inculcating moral values among the students.
The 9th edition of school Magazine ‘Alqamer” was also released on the occasion.
Earlier the principal of the institution, welcomed the guest and parents of the students and extended his best wishes to the students
The function was also attended by eminent citizens, heads of cluster educational institutes and parents of the students.
