JAMMU, Oct 27: The 48th UTT Jammu District Table Tennis Ranking Championships 2025-26 got underway today with a spirited opening ceremony that brought together top paddlers from across the district.
The event was inaugurated by Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council, Satpal Singh, who urged young players to perform with commitment while upholding sportsmanship.
Organized by the Jammu District Table Tennis Association in collaboration with the Table Tennis Association of J&K and J&K Sports Council, the Tournament is being held under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative.
President of TTA J&K, Ajay Sharma, said such tournaments act as stepping stones for players aiming for national-level competitions. The overwhelming participation reflects the enthusiasm and continued growth of table tennis in J&K, he added.
Among those present were Ajay Sharma, Arshi (Manager, Indoor Sports Complex), Satbir Singh, I P Singh, Rajan Sharma, Menu Rajesh, Maninder Singh, Narinder Singh, Vasu Dewan, Sheetal Gandotra, Gurvinder Singh Sasan (NIS Coach) and Asad Sharma (NIS Coach).
