Udhampur, Mar 13: Taking forward the community policing initiative of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Udhampur Police organized one day Futsal tournament 2022-23 under civic action programme of J&K Police under the supervision of SSP Udhampur Dr. Vinod Kumar at Mini Stadium here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by Gurmeet Singh DySP Hqrs Udhampur alongwith Inspects. Rajinder Sharma and other prominent citizens, participants and staff of district Football Association Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion Gurmeet Singh laid stress on the importance of sports activities in the life of person especially youths. Sports activities keep them physically and mentally fit to achieve desirous progressive goals. Besides it also keep them away from social evils like drugs addiction, terrorism, separatism etc.
One day Futsal tournament is being organised by Udhampur Police where in about four teams participated from different areas of district Udhampur.
Final match between APS Blaster Football Club and Udhampur City Football Club White was played, which was won by Udhampur City Football Club White.
